New projects on the horizon

I met with a group of writers yesterday. They have a great idea for a project. I would like to be involved. If I do, I need to write an original 7000 word story in less than 2 months. This will greatly curtail my other writing, but I'm excited anyway.

Saturday

What I hope are the final edits of Ghosts are going well. I need to finish the research for the cover size.

I learned that a person I worked with who was a barely competent employee is starting his own consulting business. I wish him the best but predict failure. I know that sounds mean, but it is the truth.

Why am I awake at 0200?

I don't have a story idea running through my head trying to get out. I'm neither hungry or thirsty. My body decided that it isn't sleepy. That would be an interesting story idea.

Update

I arranged for a piece of fantastic art for the cover of Ghosts. The story just finished crits. I hope to apply the suggestions and produce a clean copy in the next two weeks.

I need to look up the KDP format information and let the artist know the size and format I need. I really should have done this last week but real life intruded.

Until next time, I remain, Dane Grannon

Cryptic by DA Cheney

I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of this as a present. I was excited enough that I did not notice the chocolates that came with it. I made the mistake of reading this right before I went to sleep. The book gripped me and refused to relinquish its grasp until the final sentence. Then my mistake became more glaring. The story invaded my dreams. I read horror stories to be scared or made uncomfortable. This accomplished that mission. BTW It is free on 2/4/2012 and 2/5/2012 Buy it here
